State of the Art Facilities
Industrial Gas Springs Ltd's facilities include a clean room for the assembly of aerospace gas springs and a laboratory for batch testing and prototyping.
EU Directive 2011/65/EU RoHS
The European Union (EU) Directive on the "Restriction of use of certain Hazardous Substances" restricts the use of some substances in electrical and electronic equipment placed on the market after 1st July 2006.
The substances are the following:
Mercury (Hg)
Lead (Pb)
Cadmium (Cd)
Hexavalent chromium (Cr (VI))
Polybrominated biphenyls (PBBs)
Polybrominated diphenyl ethers (PBDEs)
Independent laboratory tests were carried out by Eurolab (www.eurolab.it) on the chrome-plated rods used on IGS gas springs. The report confirms that the chrome plating used is free of Hexavalent Chromium and so we can assure our customers that all gas springs manufactured by Industrial Gas Springs Limited conform with the restriction of hazardous substances, EU Directive 2011/65/EU.
