How to adjust the force on a gas spring with a Schrader Valve (RV)

The procedure to adjust the force on a gas spring with a shrader release valve (RV) is similar to a T-Valve (TV). However, because the valve is more fragile you can only release gas using the tool provided or the stud at the end of the gas spring.

Please note that a hammer must not be used to release gas with this type of valve.

This valve is being discontinued in favour of the new T-Valve, which is now used on almost all gas springs manufactured by Industrial Gas Springs Limited.

If you have received a gas spring equipped with a schrader valve, please check the safety and instructions leaflet provided with the gas springs
